Roedale Non Threaded Muzzle Brakes

Does anyone have any experiance with Roedale non gunsmith muzzle brakes

Thinking of putting one of these on my Remington 700 which isn't threaded

No but having read numerous threads on this company i would urge you to call and verify they have your product in stock / that you are fully aware of a potential delivery date.

The No gunsmith claim seems to be a miss named product.
A Gun Smith is needed to thread your barrel, but you can install the brake after.
Their info says the Brake is threaded on, then clamped to index it.
You barrel needs to be threaded before you can use it.
Actual clamp on, no thread brakes, are often one good for one or two rounds fired, then they end up way down range.
This looks like a good brake but it is still for a threaded barrel.

You may need to read this again, this item is without a threading, the text and lift and shift from the threaded model. These are designed for specific barrel diameters in my case 21mm

Losing the brake after a couple of rounds is my concern ......

Leeroy - it's not entirely clear from the link you posted that you're after the 'clamp on' type muzzle brake.

I honestly don't think it's going to work out favourably for you. Why don't you want to get your barrel threaded?

I had a muzzle thread cut by Mike Norris whilst I waited earlier this year. He was very easy to deal with.

Our Brakes are screwed onto the muzzle thread, indexed or adjusted and then clamped in place with 2 screws.

That is from the page for the C 21 clamp on.

Took me several minutes just to find anyting that said they had a squeeze on brake.

I would get the barrel threaded. Clamp on's really smeg up your group as the large chunk of metal rips through the target.

They also tend to get you a few bruses when the chap pulling the targets comes out and trys to stuff it someplace in your body it was never intended to fit.

I think that threading is the way forward, I’ve contacted Mike Norris and this is something he can do while I wait and isn’t going to break the bank either. He has also offered to make a brake which is based on the vais type however I want something that a little more “tactical”. I really wanted the badger FTE but can’t find anyone who has these over this side of the pond, hence the Roedale but I have heard talk they are awful to deal with...... I guess an order to Brownells could be the way forward.
