Re: M14 EBR Straight Pull - Bipod
M14 mags are in pretty short supply over here; I bought 3 new with the rifle & have acquired 3 others since then. My rifle came with a 20 round mag as standard.HALODIN wrote:What do you think of your M14? Allegedly in the latest edition of Visier Magazine in the test feature, they shot a grouping of 19mm with the iron sights @ 100 meters which sounds pretty good to me.
The only problem with my M14 is it only comes with a 5 round mag and whilst I will have a couple of 20 round mags in the not too distant future (touch wood!) I wonder if you've come across any for sale?

Old standard RG was reasonable; L42 RG155 tended to be a bit sticky (But shot very very well), MEN was always bloody tight (had to go 'Mexican Match' with the MEN ammo)!
168gn bullet behind 42.5 gns of Varget works fine both in the accuracy and operating efficiency stakes.
I modified my charging handle with a small extension just to help with those 'sticky' ones.
Btw, I've got a Harris bipod for mine.
My Rifle is a Fulton Armory (Maryland USA) 'Peerless' model built specifically for me as a straight pull. (Even charged me $100 not to drill the gas hole in the barrel.??? )
Overall, I'm delighted with it :shakeshout: . It's also fitted with dioptre foresight and sometimes has a 4.5-14 x 40 Leopold Mk4 sitting on top.
PS I could sell it almost any day I take it out to the range.
Regards,

To be expected I suppose, but I think that should change in the near future as the rifles are now available. I've ordered 2 x 20 round mags, but no idea when they will arrive at this point, hopefully soon.
I think they could be quite popular, I guess time will tell. Have you got a picture you can post? It's always nicer to see these things in the flesh!

I might have found some here. You will need to use google chrome to auto-translate the page. They're € 32.70 + shipping for all capacities by the looks of things, but no photo.
