I think they could be quite popular, I guess time will tell. Have you got a picture you can post? It's always nicer to see these things in the flesh!

My Rifle is a Fulton Armory (Maryland USA) 'Peerless' model built specifically for me as a straight pull. (Even charged me $100 not to drill the gas hole in the barrel.??? )

Overall, I'm delighted with it :shakeshout: . It's also fitted with dioptre foresight and sometimes has a 4.5-14 x 40 Leopold Mk4 sitting on top.

PS I could sell it almost any day I take it out to the range.

Very nice rifle but I've always preferred the traditional M14 pattern as I began my Army career with an M14 as an cadet officer in the mid 70s. The new chassis and sights for the M14 series though is undoubtedly best practical for getting the most out of the rifle.

This is my Polytech M14/S which is sacrilege but the price was right!

My son's M1A built with all USGI issue parts and pieces except for the receiver. A very, very accurate rifle.

Is that the only difference, no gas hole? Who did the importing and if you don't mind me asking, what was the final cost including VAT and Duties?

Could you PM me if your wife is peering over your shoulder or you don't want to discuss that in public. I'd also be interested with any contact number you may have.

I was thinking of approaching Springfield at one time to see if they would do the same as what Fulton did for you.

Cheers
