Musgrave/RSA?

#1 Post by TrxR »

I am looking for a picture of a bare action or barreled action with no stock of a Musgrave/RSA action. If anyone could post one I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Is it the underside/bedding area that you're most interested in?

Those two pictures are near as dammit good enough. All of the bedded area on the Musgrave/Lyttelton RSA receiver is rectangular. There is a recoil lug at the front of the receiver. If you're still looking for pictures in a week or two I can get a few snaps of mine.

Thanks: those helped alot. Do you know anything about that last pic? Like what was involved on getting the CG trigger to work?

Also do you happen to know what Scope rail is the best to fit or will I need one customized to fit the action?

Thanks

For the trigger question hopefully R.G.C on this forum will pick this up as he is the designer of the trigger.

Dunno I'm afraid, mine's a target rifle with iron sights. Though apparently the entire exterior of the receiver is hardened (so I've read ...) and tends to wear out bits etc very rapidly. I think it's drilled and tapped at the factory for some small screws, but wouldn't swear to it.

From memory the Musgrave trigger is set up in the same way as the Mauser 98 design, bearing in mind the bolt itself is a slightly modified Mauser 98 setup.
