Hi folks,

Tim would it be at all possible for me being a non FAC or range safety cert holder to come along ?

Seeing as I plan to compete in F/TR this would be a great opportunity for me observe and ask questions.

I'm ex army so I know not to touch shiny things that don't belong to me or to shout "GO ON MY SON" when a shooter in front of me hits the V bull.

And takes some decent bins so you can see where teh blooms are on the targets.

And some smelling salts for those seeing 300yd F class targets fof the first time (always a giggle).

If you are buying a new pair consider some actives mate.

I know they can be pricey (I used a set if cheap caldwell ones for 2 years and handed them on) but they might stop you getting set fire to!!

Only joking, but one thing that gets on yer tits is someone wearing dumb muffs yelling and being yelled at during a comp.

Generally all that goes between shooters on the point is confirming shot and score, the odd snigger and a few adjectives

That said, once I had tried them I would never go back.

We have one expert (?) in our club who quite simply will not shut the f*ck up...and holds court with any idiot that will listen at full volume....usually behind the point but often on it, next to you as you are shooting, as he unloads his pickfords van full of crap onto the point.....Grrrrr

Now I have the concentration of a grape....so you can imagine how handy it is to be able to switch the bugger off (If only)

It also allows you to evesdrop/hear what is going on about you, actually quite a safety feature and on thing I would see mandatory if it was my call.

Thsi is not aimed at your likely conduct, just me saying, if you need to buy a new pair, consider actives, they are really worth having
