Interesting closing comments from Gun&Mart Build quality and features are good as is the accuracy potential and at £780 for the base model it’s well priced.
In Czech Republic, the wholesale price is € 80, retail public px £ 180 and retails in Europe for € 350 ...
Having said that & having fired thousands of rounds in the original caliber without a single malfunction, I can only agree 100% that the Vz58 is a great rifle

So, given the availability of cheap flights would getting a European Firearms Pass and popping over to Europe to buy one there not be a cheaper option than getting one here?
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)
They would be Section.5 and presumably Scott of Caledonian Classic Arms has the exclusive rights for UK legal Section.1 examples from Czech Small Arms.
There are other companies that make Vz.58 but as I understand it they are effectively rebuilt parts kits with some refinishing in comparison to the CSA examples that are built new in the Czech republic. As a side note it should be noted that there is a small amount of refurbished components in CSA examples like the foresight. The other companies are servicing the US/Canadian market the most notable being the Cz.858 and the Vz2008. Apparently the build quality of the other rifles are not as good as CSA but as we are only ever likely to see them so I can't be a judge of that.
The video below shows how CSA built examples are made, it is fairly impressive:
Scott has told me he has plans for another very interesting UK Sec.1 spec product from CSA and has a prototype with CSA apparently. I won't say what it is on an open forum as I don't want to cause problems for Scott and Feroza or pre-empt their plans but PM me if you want to know what it is...I am very tempted believe me!

:shakeshout: Ok so after much thinking and back and forth I have gone and ordered myself one of these fine Czech rifles. Ordered in .223 1 in 9 as I can mostly lay my hands on 55gr Barnul at a very reasonable cost. Now I just need to wait on it then off to the range with it :)
