Interested to hear how these shoot as I'd love one. I'd dress it like yours but with a Bakelite pistol grip and a Bulgarian 'straight' stock which I already have. Nice collection you have :-)

The AKM was from Oleg at Rusmilitary and the Romanian sidefolding stock was from a contact in Italy (along with some Dragunov mags) that got it from a contact of his in Bucharest and came in the original Romanian military packaging (theres something satisfying about greased brown paper and string!).I haven't seen any for sale in the UK.
They both shoot very nicely out to 100m (furthest I have shot them) and will pretty much put every round in a 6" circle at that range with Russian milsurp and shooting pretty fast, which I don't think is bad for a battle rifle designed for mass production and full auto.I replaced a Saiga with the AKMS and it shots equally as well
For better accuracy I break this out

Cheers Ray, hows the PK-A?
The front sight post on the AKM is too far over to the left of the sight block for my liking (being fussy!) so have a RPK windage adjustable rear sight leaf coming for it courtesy of a mate in the Ukraine so that will sort it out :)

Oh I love it going to bore sight it in and then next chance I get to to a Range I will dial it in. Unfortunately not going to be soon :( as busy with work.
My AKM is exactly the same as yours except I have the bakelite grip, rifle came from Germany, put a 100 rounds through it at Bisley yesterday at 100yds. I'm thinking of getting a POSP scope for it, have shot it to 200yds and 300yds before, also use downloaded homeloads for indoors.
