Kent variation... let's see how long and the outcome...

#1 Post by techguy »

1. Change of FAC designated club
2. One-for-one variation
3. Asked for additional slots (another .223, a .300 whisper, .260 remington, 2 additional S1 Shotgun slots)
4. Asked to increase .223 allowance from 250 to 1750 (want a single batch of ammo for a season of CSR, the imperial, zeroing and practice)

Posted today signed for first class delivery. They are already aware of the first 2 requests. Let's see 1) how long it takes, and 2) what slots they let me have.. I have good reason for all requests... but we know what we think is reasonable and good reason doesn't always match up with the licensing teams..

My variations were no where near as complicated and it's been 5 weeks already.....

You coming tonight?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I'm not expecting a quick turnaround, probably as long as my initial grant! But I did just have a call from them asking me where my variation was (I spoke to them back in Feb about change of club) so they're being proactive :)

Erm, yeah I might come along tonight for an hour or so..depends how my day goes! You there tonight mate?

Just had a call from the firearms team to check something, the post was missed today but will be in the post tomorrow apparently! Pretty much bang on 5 weeks, and for a less than straightforward variation too... good job Kent! :)

Got my FAC back today, everything I wanted except slightly less .223 than I asked for (as expected!). Still workable so I'm happy.

Good job Kent :)
