I am on a business trip to the Czech Republic in a few week and have "arranged" for a free morning in Prague or Pilsen for some recreation before I fly home.
Can anyone recommend any of the numerous Ranges/companies who offer packages in and around Prague/Pilsen for a mornings Pistol and Semi-Auto fun?

Dobry Den David,
Unless you want to pay good money be driven to a range where a loaded weapon and a target about 5 yards away are waiting for you as well as someone to help you holding the gun , personnaly I'd forget about the "packages" as they are designed for the English hangovered crowd with more cash than shooting experience.
If you can , would be better off coming for a "shooting W-E" like those
.
They can taillored to the participants exact desires.

Now if you have only half a day in Prague, I'd suggest you stick to a pistol range, rent a lane & a pistol, buy ammos & targets and start having fun. Avim is convinient, decently priced, within walking distance of Prague city center & the manager is a nice & knowledgable chap.

Bear in mind that if they dont know you, they'll probably insist you pay for supervision & tuition. Around £70 up should buy you couple of hours of fun depending how much ammo you want to burn
If you visit the link below in my signature, the vast majority of photos are taken at various ranges we use around Prague. If you need any help or info about Prague, and not only shooting, please feel free to PM me. Enjoy your stay !!

There is an indoor range in Prague that Lyons and CormieAckImp have used where you kinda left to your own devices.

Re: Ranges near Prague
I did a Top Gun package with a friend a few years back before l had my FAC. They would only do a minimum of four so we paid for four and got to shoot twice the allotted ammunition. The range was mixture of 25, 50, and a 100 metres. There was good selection of weaponry Saiga auto shotgun, UMP, several pistols, AR, AK and a CZ 750, which l shot whilst being watched by a dozen Czech Police who had been pistol training.
We paid extra after the package shooting to shoot a Mauser and fully auto AR.
All in all it was well organised and we were picked up from our hotel in Prague centre, about a hours drive from Prague.
Took the wives and left them in Prague shopping so killed two birds with one so to speak.
Don't forget to visit the plush wood panelled CZ shop just off the city centre near the station as it has the complete range CZ products including some of the military bits like the Evo, which they showed me but wouldn't let me hold.

Year ago I was at Magnum Praha shooting range-www.magnumpraha.cz-shooting semiauto saiga and glock, very friendly staff.Looking at website prices now for 30£ you will get 1h with instructor and 50 pcs ammo(30 czech kc is 1£).Extra ammo is 10-20£ per 50pcs depends from calibre(take your ear defenders and you will save 1£...pint of good Czech beer). This year Easter Sunday it was very small range located in abandon underground pedestrians walk at old railway station-sort of prive venture for friends-and only one in Prague allowing use of TT33/7.62x25-oh man...Try this one and CZ75 if you can-do not try to many things in one morning, just slowly taste it...must last for long when back in UK...
