Re: VZ.58 M.A.R.S
Is there an actual chance of the MARS system being put into other platforms? If so I reckon an AR15 would be the most obvious choice in Obviouston, Co. Obvious
But for the love of god make it a gas-piston version, not direct impingement!

Re: VZ.58 M.A.R.S
Would you be able to run the 7.62x39 version on cast lead boolits?
Re: VZ.58 M.A.R.S
Yes it will fire cast bullets.
I'm guessing that rather than buy a 9mm and 7.62, your intention is to use a 7.62x39 on a range normally reserved for 38spl and such in addition to using surplus ball on a different range certified for its use? That is a different question and rather depends on what max velocity/ energy is permitted.
After your committee has sanctioned this activity, let me know the figures and I'll run some tests, load samples etc.
It would be useful to know the lower threshold anyway.

I was thinking about the same at my club, they have a 350ft/lb, 2000ft/sec limit

Re: VZ.58 M.A.R.S
Speaking of cast boolits, do you know if the action will cycle with reduced loads (indoor 25m)?.
As examples I shoot 300aac Blackout indoors at 1030fps with an ME of 293ftlbs and .308 at 1125fps and 456ftlbs both using a 125gr cast boolit and Vhit N310.

If I were to save some hard earned and went down this route then yes I'd like to be able to use cast bullets on the indoor range. I've seen several videos of guys running AK's on cast bullets at just under 2000 fps so figure you could probably use them at extended ranges as well!?
