Armalon barrels are excellent and BRITISH , hammer forged and long lasting ,
"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"
Adolph Hitler – 1933
Armalon are superb barrels and I still maintain one of the most accurate .308's I ever shot at 1000 yards was an Armalon Remington 700.
One thing to consider if importing a barrel is the cost of chambering and proofing, the gunsmith will be making some money on the barrel if he supplies it so he may choose to add an additional charge to the chambering work if the barrel is customer supplied. This is something that needs to be discussed at an early stage to avoid disappointment. I am not saying this is the norm however it needs to be taken into account.

RFD's - What would your top 5 manufacturers of barrels look like excluding availability? I suppose I'm talking exclusively about precision.
There are many good barrel makers.
I use regularly and can recommend (in no particular order) Border, Lothar-Walthar, Armalon, even the Archer barrels are worth the money I have used Douglas and Krieger among others but these are not so easy to get hold if.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.
Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
