And then some....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

That would depend on what you call domestic issues. As a lot of people add friends to their Facebook page that they don't know or will never meet, It sounds ridiculous that that would affect your suitability for a FAC. I would find it surprising if that happened here, they let terrorists out of jail, and some have firearms for personal protection. So it would be a bit rich not approving someone's FAC because they had a doggy Facebook friend.

I've got God on mine, I'm pretty sure he's wanted for attempted genocide!
I'd love to know the facts around this, sounds more like an urban myth to me.
Would the police really go to such lengths unless you were already questionable?
They have to find you on Facebook, assuming you're visible and your friends list is available they'd then have to check all of your friends individually, cross checking each with the PND.
Would they?

Joe:
Most people know and I'm sure that plod knows as well unless they are complete bellends that people add random people, groups or accept friends invites from people that they don't know !
Until they want to get you! You know how they twist things when they want to and how "throw away phrases" are suddenly deemed as statements of FACT! Not worth the hassle, especially of one of those "friends" blows a plane out of the sky. It's exonential all those "friend" connections.

Sounds like a load of baloney to me. I have lots of friends on face book mainly family who live in Australia-Italy etc. People who I work with who are Indian. Japanese. Scottish. Pakistani. Lots of them are devout Muslims and there pages reflect this. I'm surprised I have not been arrested what a load of tosh.

I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't at least an element of truth in this. When I was job hunting last year I applied for a civilian job with Sussex Police and they asked for details (including usernames and passwords!) of any social media sites, forums etc. that I was a member of so they could check them out for links to criminals etc. I didn't list them all on the form, they didn't give me the job (largely because I would have been useless at it rather than anything to do with my 'online presence')!
