"The firearm and magazine or chamber thereof".
This refers to non detachable magazines, if in doubt check with the certification authority that issued the condition.

I doint think so, could the same not apply to LB/ handguns in the rest of the UK. As you say if in doubt check with the certification authority.
Re: Transporting Ammo to the Range
Or just read section 19 firearms act 1968 ! It's very easy to find ! You be suprised what you find on the Internet
Re: Transporting Ammo to the Range
Ok just to be difficult, what about a holstered unloaded modern muzzle loading revolvers ie Westlake ! On the way to club and you just holster it under your jacket ?!
Re: Transporting Ammo to the Range
There were a number of people who used Stone Lodge ranges pre '97, that used to carry pistols in shoulder holsters when riding motorbikes to the range.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

That might be contained within the British Standard but nothing like that appears in the Fire Arms Licensing Law guidance (and British Standards are not law).

Re: Transporting Ammo to the Range
If those extracts come from a NI FAC then it seems to me that there are different conditions applied to NI FACs than to those I see in the UK.
Obviously the legislation affecting shooters in NI is different from that in the rest of the UK, you can have pistols is the obvious difference.
