I have just acquired a rather battered Pecar Champion 6x45. Cosmetically it has been well used and the painted finish is worn away on the sharp edges and bell however glass wise it is absolutely superb and the drums crisp to operate, it should be a perfect addition to an equally battered .303 Sporter I have on my ticket. It also has a 25,5mm/1" tube which means I do not have to faff around trying to find 26,0mm rings or reaming out 1" rings to suit.
The 6x45 has the benefit of an interchangeable reticle and is currently fitted with a No10 which is OK however I would prefer something a bit finer. Does anyone know if the replacements exist these days, I do remember hoards of them being on a well known auction site a few years ago however I have not seen any recently.

Re: Pecar replacement reticle
There used to be plenty on a very popular corrupt and rotten internet so called auction site.
Me, I would contact Paul Burke about anything Pecar.
I've just picked up another one, 4-10. I do like my Pecars.

Do you have some contact details for Paul? I need a 45mm Objective ring at some point, it is a cosmetic thing really however I would like to replace it and would rather not build one from scratch unless really pushed. I suppose I could always wrap some black insulation tape around it as a temporary fix
