Wentworth are a good bunch.
Re: Two more questions
Saddler,
US muzzle threads are 1/2"x28 for 5.56/.223" types & 5/8"x24 for 6.8SPC & 7.62/.308"
US threads are UNEF
So with my 5/8 UNF on a 223 I'm a bit buggered then!!

Not especially...unless the plan was to add on a US made brake or sound mod.JoeM wrote:So with my 5/8 UNF on a 223 I'm a bit buggered then!!
The cheapest fix will be to buy a thread adaptor bushing.
The US threads are designed that way to stop someone attaching a 1/2" threaded .223-cal device onto a 1/2" threaded .308 barrel.
A dangerous & expensive combination....so the US firms only use 1/2"x28 on barrels .223/5.56-cal = bigger than .22-cal is an instant increase in thread; this also leaves more barrel metal at the area of threading for strength.
I've seen barrels from the previous UK Remington importers that were .308, but they then had a 1/2" thread added.
Aside from the potential for mix up, you could feel where the threading began if you inserted a cleaning rod & patch from the breech!!

Re: Two more questions
Have you tried optics trade eu for the scope?

Saddler,
Yes the intention was to put a US muzzle brake on it.
I don't understand your last line.
