Choosing a Dishwasher based on how many rifle parts fit in.
Apparently we need a new dishwasher and it will need to be a slimline based on the current space available, I have to say I am not 100% impressed with the thought of having a less than full sized dishwasher as it may impact the size and number of rifle parts I can bung in it.
My question is does anyone here run a slimline dishwasher and if so has it negatively impacted the ability to wash rifle, motorbike and indeed any other interesting objects?

I have a spare slimline dishwasher that you can have for free if you can collect from Alfreton. It works fine but there is a little rust hole at the bottom of the door so it drips a few drops on each cycle. Its perfect for garage use. Never washed rifle parts in it though :-)

Don't put anodised or chrome plated parts in there with a dishwasher tablet unless you want the whole lot stripped off!

Rockhopper, many thanks for your generous offer however this is going in the kitchen and I suspect the Viking would prefer something new and shiny, Alfreton eh? Not a Gritstone man by any chance?
Froggy, a dishwasher is essential for so many jobs in the workshop and it does a fine job of raising dents and stripping stock finishes on military rifles.

What are dishwashers like for cleaning brass? Could save a few bob on media etc
We had a slimline before the kitchen refit and to be honest theres not that much difference in capacity from what I remember.

Don't put brass in a dishwasher, they come out a lovely burnt purple colour!!!
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)

I have a slim line dishwasher its useless for rifle stocks etc its Ok for handgun stuff and small bits. If you have room in the corner of your workshop I would suggest buying a second hand full size one and plumbing it in.

I've had a set of 350LC crankcases in a slimline......
