Selling a barrel question.
I have an original sako finnfire p94s 22lr which has a 15 inch barrel I am going to replace the barrel with a longer match barrel which is a simple process, the plan is to sell the factory barrel before the new one arrives this way I won't be in possession of two barrels at the same time as I am only allowed one. The question is as long as the person has a slot for the barrel can I legally do this? The barrel has been threaded and re-proofed so no issues there.
Re: Selling a barrel question.
Have you got a free slot to acquire the barrel??
ONLY other way I have heard of this happening is when people have had new 10-22 barrels fitted, but they get it done in person at an RFD's; they hand him the rifle, he removes the factory barrel, fits the new one & hands the rifle back.

You need the slot to acquire the new barrel before buying it, whether the original barrel is with you or not. Well, according to Durham plod anyway. Did a similar thing with an AR-15 a few years back.
