What is involved in becoming a registered fire arms dealer.

Just had a wander around his website, should I report 'Angler's Choice Dundee' as they sell Priests by mail order and I don't know who'll be at home to sign for a package that contains a potentially deadly weapon?
If my 10 year old signed for one she might feel the need to bash her eldest sisters head in with it (definite possiblility )

I’ve used your site a few times over the years to sell the odd Sec1 rifle but I’m afraid I’ll be withholding any future business due to your relationship with Anglers Choice Tackle & Guns (Dundee) and Glasgow Field Sports.

I’m not sure if you are aware but Robbie MacGregor of Anglers Choice Tackle & Guns (Dundee) was quoted in this month’s tackle and guns magazine as petitioning his MSP to close all RFDs who do not operate from a shop front premises; in his own words “If they don’t want to open a [retail] shop, don’t let them sell anything”.

Paul Devlin, MD of Glasgow Field Sports has been quoted as calling non-store front based RFDs (i.e. RFDs based in residential locations, workshop locations etc.) “wrong and crazy” he then implies these RFDs are selling off ticket to anyone who asks “Guns and ammunition should only be bought and sold in a gun shop….not in someone’s backyard to God knows who”.

As I am sure that many of your trade accounts are held by non-store front RFDs I would expect you to be as shocked and disappointed by the comments made to the media by these two dealers in what appears to be a poorly disguised attempt to increase business in their own premises’.

I have attached a copy of the relevant article for your perusal and would appreciate it if you could let me know if you intend to allow these two disgraceful individuals to continue advertising on your site.

Is it Guntrader who also have a bespoke computer based RFD log as well, I wonder how much of their revenue for this application is coming from non shop front RFD businesses.

Just had a reply from Guntrader - I guess I should be grateful for that at least.

But it looks like he doesn't worry too much about Scottish non-retail RFDs......
