Re: Handgun Ban Repeal
In regard to a section 7.3 there are so many hoops to jump through in order to get one, and even when you do you couldn't exactly justify a Glock 19 or S&W .357 Revolver.
It's not something that appeals to me, also I don't want to have to travel to a specific club and not be able to keep my gun at home.
In reference to people getting upset over seeing armed officers, its because they are never exposed to firearms and nobody ever talks to them about it. It's almost like a taboo subject, I tell everyone I meet that I shoot, yes I may get some judgmental people passing their judgement but at least it gets it out there.

Oh you'd be surprised what's available on s7.3....
But I agree, I'd rather have a Ruger Old Army at home, than a Colt Python locked in a range 120 miles away....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

The main outcry in Scotland was when it was decided to use armed police on routine calls no doubt to try and make up for staff shortages. There were pictures of armed police all over the papers dealing with the usual Friday night nonsense in Inverness. I had a twenty minute chat with a AR sergeant after using the the self service checkout next to me in asda, nice guy he was said he was disappointed they had been pulled off routine calls as it was something to do after years of mainly sitting in the ARV.

Maybe they should jabber stayed in Scotland rather than going to nottingham for am ice cream then!Sim G wrote: There was the spate of complaints in Northern Scotland when cops were buying ice creams whilst side armed and in Nottingham, there was some phone footage of a couple if women giving a couple of armed officers a real hard time when they went into Tescos to buy a sandwich!
As for 7.3 actually as it happens a few glock 19s have just surfaced which fit the historically important bill perfectly. As for a s&w 357. Would you settle for something in 38 instead?

UKIP in power is about the only chance of pistols ever been legal again but sportsmen keep voting for the very people that shafted them over.

There is at least one Glock 17 GEN-1 out there on section 7.3.pbrazendale wrote:In regard to a section 7.3 there are so many hoops to jump through in order to get one, and even when you do you couldn't exactly justify a Glock 19 or S&W .357 Revolver.
If you can prove historic or technical interest then it is perfectly valid for S7.3.
