Speechless from Hampshire - Variation

Last year I had a one-for-one variation take 5 months with Hampshire.

Last week I submitted another one-for-one and I just received it back completed goodjob ..... Speechless!!

Perhaps things are improving with Hampshire lollol

No, I had the same. They are currently going down the electronic route by all accounts so things should work better long term.

essex did a one for one in 5 days last year
normal variation 16 weeks
new ticket 14 months

They should get rid of the variation system and just make fac's like section 2 SGC's

Never going to happen. We will only ever see increasing scrutiny and control.

I've mentioned before, but a couple of times I've done variations on the spot - once at the Northern shooting show and once at police HQ - which proves it can be done. Everything else is just admin...

I proposed this in my response to the consultation on firearms laws.

At the initial grant, an FAC should permit the holder to possess a number of firearms (say, 5) of a calibre appropriate to their good reason.

The holder can then buy and sell as they wish up to their maximum holding without requiring a variation. Each transaction would be recorded on the FAC and notified to the FLD.

A variation would only then be needed to increase the maximum holding.

Because the sheep are stupid !
Yet with an SGC I can stock up any amount of shotguns that I can put in my safe
shotguns can Are just as lethal prob even more lethal then other firearms

5 days you were lucky, One for one will now run into the 4th week and it's the same calibre I'm requesting, what a shambles.
