There's a link in the main story where you can check if your rifle is affected.WARNING:
STOP USING YOUR RIFLE. Any unintended discharge has the potential for causing injury or death. Immediately stop using your rifle until Remington can inspect it to determine if the XMP trigger has excess bonding agent used in the assembly process, which could cause an unintentional discharge and, if so, replace the trigger mechanism. If you own a rifle subject to this recall, Remington will provide shipping, inspection, replacement of the trigger mechanism if necessary, and return at no cost to you. DO NOT attempt to diagnose or repair your rifle yourself.
Contact Remington
For the safety of you and those around you, Remington strongly encourages you to STOP USING YOUR RIFLE immediately and contact Remington for inspection and repair. To participate in this recall, visit the Remington Recall Center at xmprecall.remington.com. Or call Remington on its toll-free XMP-Recall Hotline at 1-800-243-9700 (Prompt #3 then Prompt #1) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. You will be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number, and the serial number of your rifle.

Looks like the same old issue from 2-3 years ago Chuck

Great...!!! Already had the misfortune of having a rifle recalled in the last recall. Took several months and came back with the most awful trigger in the world..... 9lbs and gritty!!
Given the shipping costs and the inconvenience, they'd be better just sending me aftermarket triggers....

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: Another Remmy 700 recall
Entered my serial number as I had mine done before not needed in this recall for the trigger to be re worked. Happy days.
Sim G Mine has a very smooth trigger and is fully adjustable worked on/repaired by Riflecraft and a 2-3 week turn around if I remember.

Ovenpaa: seems they used to much superglue or something this time around - you'd think they'd get it right sometime
Can you not pitch for all their European warranty work??

Feckers! Seems like two of mine need doing, one that didn't need doing last time and one that was done!!!!
Yeah Neil, mine went to Riflecrap as well. Took forever, came back with parts missing and a 9lb gravel rake! Went back to them again where it was for several weeks and they even denied it had gone the first time, despite receipts!
Nah, it's not going there and I've emailed Remington for an alternative.....

Re: Another Remmy 700 recall
Mine might be affected, but it also has a rifle basix trigger in it, so it's not going anywhere...
