Blackhawk sportster case

#1 Post by Gazza »

Anyone have experience of this case, any good? terrible?
I'm after a tactical type soft case but dont want to break the bank.
Is the sportster well padded? good zips etc?

Any info welcome :good:

Yeah, I think they are great ..
Not loads of padding, but enough for a soft case, loads of Molle straps to attach stuff.
I use the top half for stuff storage & put the rifle in the bottom half .

I have a listing of my mp15-22 for sale with a case , have a look at the picks

Which one? There is a reference to the Sportster Modular case, rather than just the standard format 'gun bag' (that usually has magazine pouches on the side).

I have both FYI and they are good quality bags, decent padding for the price and heavy duty cordura. The only downside I find on the bags is the shoulder strap on the gun bag type (it attaches to the top and bottom, rather than the side which makes it slightly more awkward to carry, but no doubt improves its strength as the stitching doesn't get pulled as much), and the complete lack of shoulder straps on the modular case, which on a two gun bag is barmy IMO.

Not the same, however I picked up a second hand Blackhawk long Gun Sniper Drag Bag around 10 years ago now and it is still going strong so the products are certainly built to last.

Case looks good in your listing :good:
What are the extras you have there? just the mag pouches?
Do the straps come with the basic case?

I added a 4x mag carrier & a few extra pouches from a viper set ,

The case has Molle loops in the top and bottom, I think they come with a muzzle holder and 2 rifle straps

I use double sided Velcro straps to tie stuff done, like extra bits with the Molle loops

The devider is quite padded as is the top & bottom, it's not bad for a soft case, and good on a range as you only need to take the one bag & have all your kit in one place.
