Have Sporting Services lost AI?

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

I see that the Sportsman gun Centre are advertising as the UK distributor for Accuracy nternatonal so is it safe to assume Sporting Services have lost the contract?

As far as I'm aware Sporting Services are still the Civilian distributor for AI. Only spoke to them recently, but like most things in this industry things can change pretty quickly.

Just checked the AI site and it lists both Sporting Services and Sportman GS as agents. It was only a few weeks ago that Sporting Services issued a statement that nothing was changing or words to that effect.

I hope this will not have an overly negative effect on Graeme and his team.

Me too! As long as Graeme has distribution rights I will continue to deal with him. I am surprised given Graeme's previous connections with AI that this has happened. I would have thought AI already sells everything it can into the Civilian market through Graeme, so I cannot see them selling more with this new connection. In any case SGS will not have the knowledge and experience of AI products that Graeme has. A move that can only disrupt the market.

Sportsman GS website lists 135 versions of AI rifles, so they are obviously going for it.

I'll deal with Greame for AI stuff, as I shoot with him nearly every other weekend, and when I bought my AI we stood in his workshop and assembled it to my spec while I waited.
