It depends on your licensing team - it should just be 9mm rifle, but some departments are more specific. Your best bet would be to check your ticket for the nomenclature they've used previously.

I had that on my ticket for a while. It was specified as 9mm Rifle.

Ah yes, the good old NATIONAL Firearms Licensing Management System the police use, which isn't a national system at all, its a mish-mash of several different operating systems some of which allow the county police to add/alter descriptions of firearms and others don't. And yet more that DO let the FLD to amend/add to it but they're either unwilling or haven't had the training to do it!

When I was applying for lever release and later trigger release guns it was a seemingly massive headache for my FLD who like to have an exact description of the gun and its mechanism on your FAC. After a LOT of phone calls I eventually got my FAC with just <insert caliber> rifle, as above and a claim that lever/trigger release isn't a (presumably simple computer drop down) option of the NFLMS. In the neighbouring county they issue certificates with lever/trigger release on FAC's...... wallhead
