To be honest you have 15-60×52 on the Vortex v 10-60×56 on the March so will be collecting more light on the March I believe so would get a better image :)
As for the dials I had a very stiff focus dial but once I got it loose it was fine, the other dials had no issues and have good positive clicks.
Just to finish, I did look at the March and Nightforce but couldn't justify the huge increase in money for the small improvement in performance, time will tell if I made the right decision but for now I am happy with what I got as I am sure you are :)

Re: The Vortex Golden Eagle HD
Thought I'd just add my twopeneth!
I got a Golden Eagle a month or so ago. With my previous scope I had trouble sorting my windage settings with a scale that read 0 to 15 one way, not R & L something for FTR shooting up to 1k yds.
I spoke to Optics Warehouse and by coincidence I was able to arrange an 'on range viewing' one weekend and then to purchase a new scope.
I had done some sighting in and load testing at 100yds and it was a great scope all round but I was concerned about the fineness of the reticle at longer ranges. Yesterday I was able to try it at up to 600yds and it was just great. NO problem with the fineness, clarity was great and I could read the windage settings R & L just as I needed to. It just worked.
If you need a replacement scope check this one out. Also, have a look at the comments on some of the US forums too. They are raving over it!!
Good shooting,

Re: The Vortex Golden Eagle HD
I know its been some time since this was first brought up, but I too have to give a thumbs up to the Golden Eagle. I got one from Livens, Burton on Trent a while back and I love it on my F class rig - especially the reticle which is SO easy to use.
Re: The Vortex Golden Eagle HD
Just to confirm I managed to get it sat on my new rifle the other weekend and my is it a good scope, well glad I brought it. Time will tell over difficult conditions as the day I got it setup was nice and sunny but so far no complaints.
