Well, the CEO of Remington has resigned! Surprising he wasn't lynched having destroyed two great old brands, Remington and Marlin. A little worrying when the article states;
"Remington has a long way to go before they can completely restore their reputation, but things may still turn around for the company. They’re working hard to bring a new modern lineup of guns for sport and self-defense with a leaner, more efficient manufacturing team."
A year or two ago it was all the talk in the "Marlin World" that assemblers on the production line were paid minimum wage and were expected to put together a complete lever gun in just over two minutes! "Leaner and efficient" is probably what got the Ilion factory into trouble in the first place!

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Thank goodness, let's hope they actually put someone with an engineering sense in mind! Having worked as an engineer in manufacturing for 6 years I doubt I'd have enough experience for this :(

Who was the CEO of (JM) Marlin? They could offer it to him. :)
"I don't like my job and I don't think I'm gonna go anymore."

Frank Kenna III was Chairman and Robert Behn was President of Marlin. I remember both retired after the move to Ilion was completed. Both old fellas as well, I think.....
