If BSAC puts a lot pressure on the government surly atleast the .50cal would be dropped ?
Central government have put out other consultations in the past only for it to binned afterwards or very watered down

If that MARS thing was to go through, it would be prudent that Calodian arms makes lever release conversion for existing rifles now ! As section one gun can be converted thus no hands in

If the shooting community can get together and block these proposed restrictions then its a good time to not only block these proposals but to demand back the banned items we have lost in the past.
Semi autos and pistols were banned because of a couple of lone wolf nutters not the entire shooting community so why cant we fight for these punishing laws to be repealed at the same time?
Time to not just stop but to push back teanews

'That MARS thing" as you put it, has a totally different operating mechanism. You cant just make anything lever release.

ask him, he may be able to design a new system, surly its all in the trigger sear mech. Better then handing it in ! but then again could be jumping the gun as this stupid purposal could get binned.

It would be interesting to know how many MARS system rifles Caledonian Classic Arms have produced?
I know 4 other club members with SGC 9mm rifles, no one with a MARS.

I just checked out the Fifty Calibre Shooters Association webpage were they say that they have over 400 members.... sad news for them if it goes through

What Dellboy says. Enough of the pomposity and arrogance of the tweedies, "purists" and snobs: ALL disciplines are at risk - for NO valid reason whatsoever.

As for the online sales of knives thing, that's just insanity and window dressing for the terminally gullible. So my set of Cold Steel or Henckells ktchen knives will go to an RFD? I think not! Do the REALLY think some motivated terrorists or thug is going to shell out a large wad of cash for a "combat kife" or such like online (when they can waltz in to Tesco and steal a decent blade)?

They know fine well this doesn't happen so once again the innocent get punished - the UK has become totally FUBAR wit so many BAD and biased laws.....The bad guys have won.

Believe me, I would if I thought it was possible. The internals, carrier, trigger group etc are very different and the whole thing would need a major re-design unfortunately.
