Re: Tools - Torque Screwdriver
Wheeler Fat wrench, bought a few years ago on sale in the US, a worthwhile investment.

What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Fat wrench, great tool for the money.
I also use hex wrenches and a small spring balance for some jobs. I have often been asked why some of my Allen keys have little notches filed a couple of inches from the bend - a hang over from my days fixing aircraft. I can calibrate my spring balance a lot easier than the FAT wrench for when it matters

Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Hmm; $49.99 on Amazon over in the US & I'll be there in 6 weeks...DaveB wrote:Yes, I do, though primarily for torqueing scope ring screws and base screws.
I use the Wheeler FAT (Firearms Accurizing Torque) Wrench https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/produ ... ue-wrench/ It comes in a set with 10 bits. It goes up to 65 inch/pounds.

Pays to shop around, and if you happen to be in North America and it is something that doesn't attract the ire of Customs types, then why not?

I like that... looks fairly foolproof for club use!pe4king wrote:I got one of these a while back very useful

I have three ...
An Anschutz wrench
A snap-on torque screwdriver
A torque leader 1/4" dial wrench
Personally I like the dial gauge best as it just tells you that little bit more - and can also be used to check other torque instruments. Sadly my worst is the snap on - having needed to be sent back for recalibration twice now having crept way out of tolerance.
