Disposable gun bag

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

Does anyone know where I can source some disposable gun bags? We are forever having customers collecting their guns and not bringing a slip so a suitable long slim black plastic bag is what is needed, we did have some however they are all gone and I have no idea where they came from.

I just make mine a few at a time from a roll of polythene tubing cut with a soldering iron.

Low Mill Ranges used to give green disposable slips when you bought a rifle, like a lightweight hessian construction, but nylon. Give Peter a bell and he might help you.

T & J.J. McAvoy Guns provide a plastic bag for customers who forget to bring slips - perhaps a phone call to them might provide a source?

Have some cheap gun slips available & charge the customer a deposit equal to their retail value.
If the customer returns it, you can use it again & if not, you've sold another gun slip.

Holts use a lightweight green slip.
Maybe worth asking them.
