Opticians for shooting frames in Beds

#1 Post by Hammerstein »

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an optician that is knowledgeable when it comes to putting lenses in shooting frames in Bedfordshire?

Time I got my astigmatism sorted out! Ive got a pair of frames that a friend kindly donated, just need a lens crafted for them

And Id rather not go to SpecSavers and get charged for them getting it all wrong...

I seem to recall there was an optician in Flitwick that was noted as being a good choice for shooting optics?..

if you have your prescription, have a chat with JE Stewarts at Bisley, he can adjust prescription to suit shooting and send lens out by post. He did mine after an e-mail exchange and phone call.

Not in Beds, but myself & the majority of high level TR shooters choose Gary Alexander, based in Newbury - himself a very successful shooter. He's currently at the Commonwealth Games though, so probably a couple of weeks until he's taking appointments.
