Apparently the NRA are saying some clubs never received the renewal packs, but the NRA doesn't know which ones.

Hmm, we haven't had anything as far as I know. But this sounds about typical...

John, we hadn't had anything and our Secretary contacted them earlier this week to chase where it was. That's when he was told of the mess up contacting some clubs. It appears they were just waiting for the affected clubs to get in touch, rather than trying to reach out.

I am Sec of a Club... and the same thing happened to me regarding no contact. This was apparently because the IT failed to link the Club with the person to whom the renewal should be sent out. So, if I hadn't of made contact then no renewal would have taken place and all would be none the wiser!

The above aside, the NRA were excellent on making amends... and in the case of our SSCs, I emailed the list in on a Monday... only to have all of the cards back by recorded on the Thursday.

Really good stuff... and the personalities couldn't do enough to help out.

I agree with that, as a club secretary I've found Georgina to be very helpful, we had one chap who forgot to update his email, and so did not get his details in until last month, his card arrived today, in the same post as the rest of them.

Georgina is a star. I know she has been working 7 days a week on ssc and membership renewals.

And remained cheerful whilst doing it, if her emails are anything to go by, I think a letter of commendation will be forthcoming. Or at least an email.

Which raises an interesting question................I wonder how many FB'ers are NRA members, full or affiliated?
