Re: Guy Martin introduced to a 303
It's not a good advert for him. If properly handled a .303 shouldn't give a man of Guy's stature any problems with recoil. I recently shot my No1 MkIII then immediately after an O/U 20g game gun and the felt recoil from the 20g was considerably more than the .303. I'd go as far as to say the .303 was far more pleasant!

In his defence i think it was the first time he'd ever fired a rifle and if the instructor hadn't shown him he to hold it correctly and explained about eye relief that isn't a reflection on Guy.JS569 wrote:It's not a good advert for him. Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant a good advert for the instructor, nothing to do with Guy, he evidently hadn't been given the correct guidance and was doing his best.snayperskaya wrote:In his defence i think it was the first time he'd ever fired a rifle and if the instructor hadn't shown him he to hold it correctly and explained about eye relief that isn't a reflection on Guy.JS569 wrote:It's not a good advert for him. The 'instructor' was Ben Jacob who we should be seeing in a bit.

It is Help for Heroes day locally, so we are heading over - hopefully it won't rain.
