Why is the link to actually read the magazine so well hidden?

1) Expand the menu, click ‘Read the November Issue’
2) Scroll Down, click ‘Read More’
3) Scroll Down, click ‘Click here to read all in the November Online Issue...’

Have I missed something? is there a quicker way?

It would be bad-enough if the link were just ‘below the fold’ but requiring 4 clicks and 2 scrolls is just placing obstacles in front of readers. It’s not even as though they are being funneled towards the paid content option.

Apparently the way you arrive at the magazine gives an indication of your likes etc, i.e. which article interests you, this in turns allows the magazine to concentrate on that, I agree it is a little long winded at the moment but its getting there.

I agree Rox, it is a PITA to find the right page each month.

Aye its trying to be too clever by half, just because you can do things doesn't mean that is a good idea.

Such is our postmodern age every thing you get now has lots of things on it that you never use but you end up paying for just because the developers can put the applications in.

Nothing wrong with the KISS principle.

Indeed. The best SEO and conversion-funnel in the world is useless if basic usability prevents the visitor from accomplishing their goal. It doesn't even need fancy split testing to identify the problems - just the most basic usability testing (watch someone who doesn't know the site trying to accomplish the goal). All that's needed is a prominent button on *every* page, above the fold, that leads directly to the magazine-reader in one click. It's not rocket science.

That reminds and yes I know I am babbling here...

I have an boing which I love!
It is so easy to use.

As a back up mobile phone we have a XDA. It runs Tom Tom which is handy for out and about and also it has some credit on it in case I forget to top mine up.

I can use the Tom Tom, nothing else. Nada. I can't text, I can't phone, I have no idea how to use that damn thing.
Nothing is intuitive on it, nothing. Apart from the Tom Tom feature, that I can get my head around.

I feel really stupid when I turn that mobile phone on.

I know this is a 'bloke thing' but I do miss being able to take a mag to the 'smallest room' !!

I might ask Santa for an iPad - more mobility!

I thought it was just me...just give me the mag to read; that's why I'm there.
