OK I see, a wide variety of calibres is what you are after, however that is not what you wrote in your previous post. At least you knew what you meant even if you didn't write it.

Right, back now to the subject to paw (hand)

It would seem that we could have a common receiver that, by mixing barrels and bolts, could be used to fire a wide variety of different calibre bullets. The question then arises as to what would constitute a good receiver and bolt to start with, and how it should then be outfitted to complete the whole ensemble. Perhaps a Dolphin might be a good starting point ?
