That's what I meant - C&G have two Destroyers listed (as Bergman) on Gunstar one in 9mm Largo and the other in 9x19mm but have the same pictures for both.

indeed.
if it was manufactured as a firearm that would be S5 here in the UK, then it will remain to be S5
otherwise it would be very easy and nice to bring in a nice slick S&W add a brace, rebarrel and have a dreamy LBR
not that I have thought much about it

Well that's typical! More moral criminalising of the law-abiding. If I wanted an illegal gun I wouldn't bother going to the effort/expense of shipping something exotic to my Gunsmith and paying him/her to convert it back to semi/full-auto, I'd just go and buy a gun on the street, like the crims do.
Ah well, would have been amazing to actually have a selection of firearms a fraction of what the rest of the world has access to, even converted to straight pull.
Who gets to say what "manufactured" is? Are the straight-pull AKs built that way from scratch?

The once an S5 always an S5 has been overcome on a few occasions recently so there is a chance, at least in theory there is....

Yep it has...I'm not sure why it has been ok in some cases, and not in others. Typical of the firearms laws in this country though!!
