Want the 930 Pro but there's little point if an S2 can't be 'upgraded' (which I'm certain it can't be).
PSG doesn't have to be expensive - I'm a novice but I beat the UKPSA chairwoman and few other shooters on a couple of stages with an absolute box fresh 930 at £730 and about 150 quids worth of belt (tacom quad loads I went for). Yeah I got my a55 handed to me on the first few stages (Case in point, first two were slug stages which I'd never fired and didn't know exactly where they'd go!!!), but they're a friendly bunch and give out loads of advice without being condescending and you'll soon get better.
My advice, go for the JM Pro 930 or maybe a Stoeger or anything 2nd hand that has been made ready for comp (as long as it'll keep you in standard class) and go from there. Don't go for a box fed right from the off as you'll be straight into the open class shooting against some exceptional people.
I also wouldn't go for a pump - not from the off (but definately later on!) even the good guys short stroke one every now and then - at which point you're burning through time to clear it.
