Thanks for the replies.
Basically,
100m at the local club and if possible up to 600m or more at other venues.
maybe a bit of hunting but no competition as yet.
Is it possible to change barrels easily on an AR platform.
Is it possible to change calibres and actions but stay legal? Say .223 to .22LR semi auto?
Is the TCR the same upper and lower as the more expensive versions?
I am allowed one rifle by the wife (to start with) but she won't know if it changes or has options.
She won't compute why I need more than one.

you can get a 223 and have a slot on your certificate for a 22lr converter ...getting one is the hard part

Just tell here its like dresses - she would wear different dresses to a disco, a wedding, a funeral etc etc Then there is the shoes, clearly once you have a certain dress, the shoes might not match so new shoes are needed for each dress
Likewise, you need different rifles for different "occasions" !!

I think the .22lr may require a different upper and lower then so basically a different rifle.
May look at the HK 416 for that as it's a bit cheaper later.
dresses? interesting theory
The problem is this will actually cost me double what it costs to even get it if you get what I mean!

You can have a .22lr upper and a .223 upper and they will both use the same lower. Lower can be LANTAC, Spikes, CMMG, or similar.
The HK416 .22lr is NOT compatible with any .223 upper or any AR triggers, selectors, etc.
If you want cost effective .22 stand alone rifle then think Smith & Wesson.

I don't know about the other AR builders / sellers but Mark competes with his rifles and that experience shows in his builds.
Finally, his customer service is second to none although his coffee leaves much to be desired
I think the question was about Lantac TCR not which AR should I buy

It's the same upper as the expensive ones only thing that changes is the barrel and the handguard all the other gubbings are the same

The others seem almost double the cost.
I merely suggested one of the "others".
