Rubber washers?
I have a clicker press, so can cut whatever diameter(s) people need as long as I can get the rubber of the required thickness...

Interesting but will the sides be straight? I’ve tried cutting thicker rubber with a hole punch & the sides curve you get what I can best describe as a concave cylinder.

The machine I use is how washers used to be cut.

I can get a die made up to try it if you want?
Just need the o.d. & the i.d. of the washer req'd.

Thank's very much but I have access to a clicker press.
It's nice to have something to the correct pattern but the built up washers work very well.

A shooting companion had a hundred made "punched out if i remember correctly" haven’t seen them but they apparently were same as I described previously "concave".

I could see if a chap I know would laser cut them, to stop the edge problem.

It may also have been down to the style of clicker die.

Pardon my ignorance but how critical are the dimensions and material characteristics of the Obturateures? I have some moulded white nylon washer/spacers that are 19mm diameter x 9.5mm wide if they are any use.

Sorry to reactivate my old topic but I have finally got around to getting a chassepot and now have a few questions again

Following in the same vein would i need to run the bullets through a resizing die? and lube them?

The Lee mould works. cant make any comments on it though it has been few years ago since I used it.

Meaty the rubber obdurator expands & seals the chamber under gas pressure. Thanks' anyway.

Just as an update have finally managed to replace my rubber seal and make a new needle and have just fired it at the range today, it went off perfectly so very happy
