What are extractions like as a straight pull? The 7.62x54r cartridge is a bruiser of a round.

I believe mine has the folding stock - I have had it nearly six years but never tried to fold the stock :oops: - must get it out of the gun safe and try bangbang

I've had absolutely no extraction problems with it at all, with milsurp or commercial ammunition.Also feeds flawlessly and the actions very smooth.I think it extracts nicely due to the 54r having a tapered case and a decent sized rim.

Nigel.........yep thats an SVDS spec and the only other one I've seen over here.From what I can gather there are only a handful in the UK.
