I know two shooters running the 'airsoft' version of the Atlas at under forty quid and both swear by them, one is a .260 and the other a 30-06 so they must be able to cope with some recoil.

A friend of mine uses a genuine Atlas on his Savage Model 12FTR - he gets great results with it.

I don't think I could bring myself to put an airsoft bipod on a quality rifle!
Think I'll be getting a couple of the atlas bipods :)

One of the airsoft users ranks in the top 3 shooters I know and the other makes part of his living with his. They both seem very happy with their choices.

I have a Versa-Pod on my desk waiting for my AI AT and a Harris on my M14. I don't really like the Harris, the rubber feet make it jump all over the place on recoil, but apart from that it's perfect, good build quality, does what it's supposed to. The Versa-Pod is very nice IMO although perhaps a tad heavy.

I use a versapod on the range. It's not exactly elegant, but does the job very well. Better than a Harris I find. On the range the weight is a benefit for me.
The versapod is the only bipod I can mount on my rifle at the moment. I don't like the weight when I'm hunting though.
I'm looking at one of these for when on the move
http://javelinbipod.com/. They're extremely lightweight, which I really like (I know the chaps who make them, but I'm not affiliated with them. Just like their product).

I have a rigby bipod which is a great design but has been very poorly made. I have been addressing the issues myself and thus far I'm happy now. The new 5H atlas looks awesome and I'll probably buy one when there released!
