Just tried with a 20p and all I managed to do was bend the coin in half. Will look in the garage tomorrow.

Try DS Militaria (Darrell) on 01303 226099 I bought an original L1A1 butt removal tool from him recently, he had 6 others but web site showing reserved, worth a try.

I did see the auction, but it was at £46 when I last looked which is quite a lot considering I can get it from the US for < £20. I've e-mailed Darrell though, hopefully that one is for sale again. Thanks!

Am I missing something, from memory you don't need to take the stock off in order to take the spring out. You just need basic tools and some other fool to do it for you. Mean while ring up the US and tell them to ignore the 'un-scheduled launch' that their anti-missile batteries will detect when the spring comes out and launches into orbit.
