Ha, ha!

They turn up in Fultons before being dispatched to auction, both of mine were in the region of £200.

On the same subject No.4's converted by Geoff Hart of Cheltenham are in my eyes the best No.4 TR conversions out there.



All of Geoff's rifles had Brindles triggers fitted.


Edited to add that "Rearlugs" gave me the heads up on the Hart No.4 the night before the auction, I got it complete with sights for £110.

This a "Whitaker Special" made by Bert Whitaker, the majority of these were assembled in the gunroom of the South London RC behind Fultons. Bert made 117 of them (I have two!)

Not all of them! One of mine is the other is a bog standard No.4 receiver.

You could give Bert Whittaker your No.4 and he would turn it into a "Special" for a cheaper sum rather than buying the whole thing.
Where customers supplied their own they do not have the unique run of Whitaker Special serial numbers.

If anybody on the forum has a Whitaker I can supply details of who ordered it and cost etc.
