In the SVDS it was truly awful and the 77 dated Novosibirsk Russian milsurp easily outshot it.I know there is a difference in weight (180gr for the Barnaul vs 150gr for the Novosibirsk) but I still expected better from the Barnaul.With 174gr Sellier&Bellot it will cloverleaf three rounds at 100m if I do my bit.

The gun was designed for the 7,62x39.
Whatever caliber, the Vz will never be a match rifle. As long as it hits body vital mass at 100/150 yards ?
Surplus 7,62 Vz58 mags are 10/a penny.
