Always possible to borrow a rifle.

Might be some stages you could use/adapt for this shoot?

Courses of fire.

Practice A. Standard snaps.

5 exposures of 4 seconds at 5 second intervals.

Practice B. Random snaps

5 exposures of 4 seconds at random intervals.

Practice C. Double snaps.

5 double exposures: each of 3 seconds with a gap of 4 seconds. Each double exposure at random intervals.

Practice D. Fiendish snaps

5 double exposures of 2 seconds with a 3 second gap. Random intervals.

Pick any one (or a combination thereof) that you want to shoot on the day, this isn't a formal match so I won't be fussy if people just want to potter away at practice A. bangbang

Names via PM/email please!

I think you need to fill out that course of fire a bit!
How many rounds ,distance etc

Distance is 200yds static as advised. All targets are Fig 11 handhelds, again as advised.

I had 1 round per exposure for all practices in mind, but that said... the idea here is that the markers have a pre-briefed set of practices and people can shoot whichever ones they like. Think of it like setting up an AMS shoot except you shout which practice you want down the radio instead of fiddling with the console.

I'm quite happy to modify the practices if people want something different than what I've come up with here.

You might want to reconsider using a 'hand held' Fig 11, there are relatively heavy and especially unwieldy if the wind is blowing, hand held Fig 12 and smaller are far more manageable particularly if you expect the marker to be putting the target up and down all day long.

Yep John, I though that.

In fact Gaz rather than messing with the intervals mate, if you want to get fiendish, have a 12c or a 14 down there.

If folk get their eye in they might surprise themselves.

After an hour or so the hand held fig 11 will become a 12, then shortly afterwards a very shy 14 lol

The other thing is its all snaps. You might try a rapid (single exposure) or possibly a sitting/kneeling mate. Sitting rapid is a pig.

You might want to make these optional in case someone cannot get into the position.

Just some ideas. Take a look at some of the CSR practices and modify if you feel folk need bigger targets.

Sighters will be required as well, particularly at 200 as its an odd range, although you can do those easilly enough on a hand held 12.

Gaz, drop me an email address mate and I can send you this years CSR courses of fire with a few others mate.

Should give you loads of food for thought. You don't need to turn it into a CSR shoot mate, but there are ways of making it interesting, even with Fig12s
