It was an amalgamation between O L C and Ovenpaa. Ovenpaa did the last bit, turning it so that it fitted under the hand guard and then painted it.

ah ok, fair enough. is there any reason you decided to leave the counterbore and go for 3/4 UNF? rather than cut it back and turn down to thread it to a more usual 9mm threading?
or are you planning on screwing on an oil can?

ahh, just found him and his web page. hmmm, a bit more than i wanted to pay really. i wonder, whats the legality on making your own suppressors? i assume you have to be an RFD for that do you?
i think i'll probably just stick to getting some barrel from ovenpa and make up a brake, its a shame though, as i love the look of a yankee hill brake.... 9mm to boot.

There are no problems with you designing and making your own suppressor as long as you have the necessary slot on your ticket. There is also no legal requirement to have it Proofed once you have built it as long as you keep it for your own use. Downside is you may not be allowed to use it at your local range if it is out of Proof.

If I remove the counter bore it will make the rifle too short, barrel including counter bore is 12inches.

ok, I now have a slot for a suppressor... what sort of pressures are involved inside a 9mm can?
