I thought you could shoot at Diggle as a non member as long as the range isn't booked out? Does booking a target at Bisley and turning up not count?

Diggle charges £15 for visitors, but you need Diggle's RCOs to shoot.

I only shoot at Diggle when there's a comp on, add £2.50 to the £15 for that.

Is Diggle a commercial range or is it run by a club?
As for Bisley unless things have changed you either have to be an individual member of the NRA or the member of an associated club and the club secretary needs to make the booking.

There are many commercial ranges spread throughout the country where it is possible for a FAC holder to simply book range time but personally I don't know of one in the Essex area. Perhaps we should compile a list of such ranges and have it as a site sticky?
Just to add to the list of those ranges already mentioned there is the indoor Kynamco range in Suffolk.

Diggle is a club. They only really shoot competitions there, most people can't just book range time as far as I know.

The competitions are quite open though and it's a very welcoming place so I'm told.
