I do believe I handled those actual SMGs.

The box is distinctive and so is the chalk mark !

What's the story there?. The woodwork looks genuine and aged the recievers not so.

I worked for a Section 5 dealer once.

Among the various shipments were hundreds of brand new never issued Thompsons ( 1928, m1 and m1a1 )

These had been either ( we never got full story ) -

1 Shipped to Russia in a convoy and ship with ammo sunk so guns put in storage
2 Were fitted to gun racks inside armoured vehicles shipped to Russia and never used as the Russians issued their own.

Anyway, we got them and they went to various collectors and museums worldwide. In those very boxes ( AK boxes ) and with lots of chalk marks !!!

Not to my knowledge. Collectors and museums I believe.

I made a few quid on the mags from them :-)

And a box of the lyman sights that came with them.
