HALODIN wrote:Thanks for the reply. I've had really good results with N560, but it was a bit hit and miss, so I assumed it wasn't very tolerant to different atmospheric conditions. Having said that, I now develop my loads around
OCW so it might be worth another look. When you say N550 is brill what moa have you reliably achieved? I managed .25 --> .3 moa with VARGET, it was fantastic.
Does anyone have an opinion on Reload Swiss or any other European manufacturer?
My comments re N550 refer to good velocity (circa 3000 fps in a 30 inch barrel and with no pressures at 42g.
Accuracy well on par with your Varget commentary but obviously that's rifle / shooter dependant!

Try N560 again its what I'm going to use when I get my 6.5 Creedmoor.

N560 isn't listed for the 6.5 it's a magnum cartridge powder. Personally if I was using Viht I'd go for N150/160 as the single base powders are more temperature stable than the double base 5xx powders and slightly kinder on the barrel.

OK thanks. I'll add Lovex to my list, I didn't realise they were a Czech manufacturer. What sort of moa do you consistently get?

I'm sure it does but they seem to be a US supplier, which I want to avoid. Thanks anyway!

Thanks and nice results, especially edge to edge... my measurements were point to point, so you're in the .25 moa range, it doesn't get any better than that! I'll definitely give this a try when I get a chance, thanks!

At 100m off a bipod it will shoot under a 10mm group (edge to edge and it's repeatable). It's a modified CZ550 Varmint with a Bartlein 26" MTU contour barrel.
I don't shoot in competition (only informally) so not really interested (no time nor the inclination) in developing the load further.

That's what I need to know thanks, I'll take a look.

I've still got 1lb or so, so yes it makes sense!

Yeh it's in this list under 139 scenars and it has produced good although slightly unreliable results. Thanks I didn't realise that, so what's the benefit of double based powders then?

Well I had to buy some powder yesterday to replace some H4831 that I sold which I didn't get on with, so I bought 1kg of RS60 which was pretty well priced. The only problem is I can't find any min/max/COAL load data for it... I noticed they do have QuickLOAD data for this powder, so hopefully it's covered in there. I'll take a look later.
Thanks for everyone's pearls of wisdom, I've got a few powders to try now.
