If I understand your issue correctly, with the 600 there is a small steel bar (called the 'flat block') that supports the side of the case and makes it the correct height for the swage rod to meet the pocket centrally. If this is not adjusted just right you get a small indent to one side of the pocket wall where the rod aligns itself to the case.

You are right about the purpose of the flat block and I have adjusted it per instructions by advancing it over the swaging button and then locking the set screw to fix its height and centralise the primer pockets to the swage.

BUT..... when you operate the lever the case is a sloppy fit on its support rod even after the swage engages the primer pocket and seems to slip to one side causing the indent.

It's maddening and I have probably ruined several hundred cases by getting the swage right but not realising that it was deforming the base of the pocket.
Short of filing the support rod tip to a point which will fit into the flash hole (this would probably raise the pocket base in the centre upon operating the swager) or adding something to the support rod tip which more closely matches the primer pocket diameter to provide support....I am at a loss!

I would love to find that I am being stupid and missing something but can't see what.

I have the RCBS swager and it works OK. I have also used a twist of the Lee chamfer tool to take the crimp off the primer pocket.

Cheers Peter.I have researched on the Internet and there are many cases of problems plus some that have no issues......strange that Dillon have not tweaked the design by now.

Wouldn't a tapered hand reamer do the trick? I use one for deburring case necks. It would need to be ground down a bit to get to the right diameter.

I was using a reamer quite happily but its hard on the hands for bulk work!
I thought the Dillon was the easy answer but I appear to have bought a £130 quid paperweight!

I have had one for about 18 months now and has been good, no problems. It's not a job to go flat out but saying that, it does not take long to do a 100 cases

I use my L.E.Wilson trimmer with the appropriate cutter I do 100 at a time. It works for me.
