Consensus is indeed not science.

A lot of science that all reaches the same conclusion, that's science.

Yes global warming and cooling is a natural cycle......but mankind has affected this cycle and temperature rises that used to take 10,000 years or so now occur in decades.

As far as I can tell, the overwhelming majority of steps people propose to tackle climate change have SO MANY other benefits that I don't give a hoot about the climate change debate.

The cheaper energy, improved air quality, better food, less pressured healthcare system and improved transport are enough for me.

Who cares about the climate change debate.

Here we go again!..........If you take the time to read recent studies on the effects of increased atmospheric levels of CO2 and the associated rise in dissolved CO2 in the oceans which increases acidity plus the increase in ocean temperature on The Great Barrier Reef (one of the planets best barometers of climate change) you will see there has been a marked increase in recent decades.Areas of the Reef that were once exposed at low tide are now permanently submerged even at low tide.
It is widely acknowledged that levels of CO2 will increase, as will sea temp and acidity levels so marine biologists are embarking on an active breeding programme to create more tolerant species of coral.
There is an ancient Reef on the edge of the current one, which is described as the worlds largest fossil, which gives a record of ocean CO2 levels over the last 10,000 years. When CO2 levels increase the coral polyps ability to produce its limestone home decreases......by studying this ancient Reef and the present Reef marine biologists have indeed concluded that global warming over the last three to four decades has had the biggest effect on the Reef since its formation.

Is CO2 ( carbon dioxide ) bad for life ?

How is it possible to debate climate change, when the climate is always changing and always has done ?

It is if there is too much!.

Yes climate change has always been part of the natural cycle of the planet for millenia but it now occurs at an accelerated rate.
Can you seriously say that climate and weather patterns haven't changed in the last 40 or 50 years?.

Ice cores from Glaciers have proven it, some have even pinpointed key moments in the past.I read one study on ice cores from a glacier in the Alps where scientists were about to pinpoint the the time the Romans started smelting metal on a large scale.
